Project Role: Project Architect

Responsibilities:

Ms. Crowder functions as a Project Architect and Quality Assurance Manager, responsible for production of working drawings, quality control and coordination of subconsultants.

Background:

With nineteen years experience in all phases of project delivery and an emphasis on educational, institutional, and municipal projects, Ms. Crowder has excellent capabilities in renovation problem solving, space planning and programming.

Ms. Crowder was the Project Architect for Matthew Whaley Elementary in Williamsburg. She served as a Project Architect during the design and construction of the Williamsburg Public Library and assisted with Mathews Memorial Library in Mathews, Virginia.

Her project experience also includes a number of school renovation and addition projects within the Gloucester County School District. Ms. Crowder designed the gymnasium addition at Botetourt Elementary School. She has also been involved in projects at T.C. Walker, Abingdon, Page Middle School, and Gloucester High School.

Prior to Hopke & Associates, Ms. Crowder was a Project Architect and Associate for Rancorn Wildman Krause Brenzinski of Newport News. There she was Project Architect on several projects, including the Russell Memorial Branch Library in Chesapeake, and the Main Street Library in Newport News. Additionally, Ms. Crowder was involved in nine separate K-12 educational projects, and was the Project Architect for the Riverside Wellness Center, phases 1 and 2, in Gloucester, VA.
