In the spring of 1998, Hopke & Associates became part of a unique team chosen to provide Architectural and Engineering Services for the $4.0 million restoration of the Sir Christopher Wren Building at The College of William & Mary. As the local architect to Quinn Evans Architects, Hopke brought to the project a familiarity with Capital Outlay, experience working with the College and local officals, and the proximity to the site to be on-call during all phases of the project. Hopke & Associates' tasks included verification of existing conditions, producing as-built drawings in an electronic format for the team, and overseeing initial investigations of the subsurface brick to help determine the source of water currently entering the structure.
Hopke & Associates was involved in all aspects of the construction administration phase.
